A HISTORIC CHANGE TO A HISTORIC ARENA

Last week the sports industry was rocked by the announcement that the famed home of numerous sports teams in Los Angeles would be changing its name from the Staples Center to Crypto.com Arena. Crypto.com is one of the fastest-growing cryptocurrency platforms on the market and is now going to have the naming rights to one of the most famous arenas in the sports industry for the next twenty years. Crypto.com paid more than $700 million for the naming rights, according to sources familiar with the terms, making it one of the biggest naming deals in sports history. Cryptocurrency has certainly been disrupting the industry and many have questioned the validity and staying power of the market. Crypto.com will now have the visibility and backing of the iconic arena to sure up its growth in the market. Keep an eye on the cryptocurrency's growth once the arena officially changes its name on December 25th of this year.

CROWNING A FIRST-TIME CHAMPION

On Saturday, the Washington Spirit defeated the Chicago Red Stars in a thrilling championship match to capture the National Women's Soccer League Title. The 2-1 extra-time win gave Washington its first-ever NWSL Championship and capped off yet another season of growth for the league. Our Fan Project partners also announced the names of two of their more recent expansion clubs, the KC Current and the San Diego Wave FC.
