INNOVATION IN ACTION

FROM TOP CONTENT CREATORS TO TOP PARTNERS

Last week, the English Premier League club Arsenal F.C. announced PRIME as the club's official hydration partner. PRIME is a new hydration company co-founded by content creators and YouTube stars Logan Paul and KSI. The drink will be offered not only to the team as the main hydration partner but will also be served throughout Emirates Stadium to the Arsenal supporters. Arsenal’s Chief Commercial Officer, Juliet Slot, stated, “we are always looking to join forces with new, exciting and forward-thinking brands. PRIME falls comfortably into that category, with a product and founders at the forefront of modern culture." Arsenal's innovative and forward-thinking strategy and approach to partnerships allowed them to score highly in the Revenue Diversification category and position the club as #3 in our Top 25 Most Innovative Teams in the World rankings for 2022.

The Fan Project Spotlight

ANOTHER BIG STEP FOR COLLEGIATE ATHLETES AND NIL

The Texas Tech University women's basketball players will each receive $25,000 in a name, image and likeness (NIL) deal through the Level 13 Agency based in Lubbock, Texas. The deal is believed to be one of the largest teamwide NIL agreements in collegiate women's sports. Educating these athletes on the potential and marketability of their own personal brands remains a major topic for collegiate athletics. Adidas announced a mentorship program with WNBA legend Candace Parker last week as part of their NIL program. The partnership will help the student-athletes navigate the NIL era. The brand will also be expanding its partnership with Athlete Ally, a non-profit LGBTQI+ advocacy group, to drive education, policy reform, and organizing of student-athletes to spur equity on campus and in sport.
