INNOVATION IN ACTION

ANOTHER STEP FORWARD FOR CRYPTOCURRENCY

The San Jose Sharks became the first team in the National Hockey League to accept various cryptocurrencies. From next season onwards, franchise owners and parent company Sharks Sports and Entertainment have approved the use of cryptos, including Bitcoin, Dogecoin, and Ethereum for large or recurring payments such as season tickets, sponsorship deals, or the purchase of hospitality boxes at the SAP Center arena. We've seen teams like the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball and the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association make similar decisions. Crypto has been making waves in the digital collectibles space and is now continuing to get a stronger foothold in the sports industry.
