Press Release: Sports Innovation Lab Adds Sports Gambling And Gaming Expert Dr. Mintas To Board Of Advisors

PRESS RELEASE — BOSTON, MASS.(June 25, 2019) __ The Sports Innovation Lab is proud to announce that Dr. Laila Mintas, one of the leading experts on sports gambling and wagering, is joining the company’s Board of Advisors. Over the past few years, sports gambling has gained more attention and the technology that will help the industry safely and successfully implement this form of entertainment is complicated and untested in a regulated U.S. sports market.

“We have a lot to learn from Dr. Mintas and her international experience,” said Angela Ruggiero, CEO of the Sports Innovation Lab. “In the Age of the Fluid Fan, new rules apply. The winners seek out advice from experts, and we’re thrilled to have Dr. Mintas helping us focus our technology research.”

Dr. Mintas is joining a Board of Advisors that represent all aspects of the sports industry. The Sports Innovation Lab leverages the advice of practitioners to shape research topics and define research priorities.

“The Fluid Fan is changing tremendously. While the traditional fan used to watch the entire game, the Fluid Fans have a shorter attention span consuming primarily highlights and summaries of the game,” said Dr. Mintas. “Sports betting provides the perfect opportunity for the sports industry. It helps to keep sports fans engaged in the sport.”

Dr. Mintas will continue as an advisor and participate in future Leadership Boards to help Sports Innovation Lab research clients gain an edge on the inner-workings of the sports betting, sponsorship, and technology market.

About Sports Innovation Lab: The Sports Innovation Lab prepares the industry for the New Age of Sport with a market intelligence platform that continuously mines the global sports technology market for trends. Our customers have an edge when it comes to winning the Fluid Fan and investing in the future.
