CEO Ruggiero Leading Sports-Tech Conversation At CES Asia
Fresh on the heels of the FIFA World Congress vote for the 2026 World Cup, and on the day the Russia World Cup officially kicks-off, our Sports Innovation Lab CEO Angela Ruggiero is off to Shanghai to moderate a discussion at CES Asia.
Ruggiero is leading the only sports-tech discussion at the conference, joined by Executive Advisor of Japan-based Kayak, Inc.'s Norihisa Wada, and the Head of Commercial Consulting for Octagon, Cristina Alvarez. The discussion will focus on how sports-tech helps to shape massive global sporting events like the World Cup and the Olympics. The conversation will cover topics ranging from global sports technology partnerships to performance analytics technologies, smart venue infrastructure demands, and the rise of esports.
"I'm very excited to be moderating this discussion with Cristina Álvarez and Norihisa Wada, two thought-leaders in the world of sports technology," said Ruggiero. "The announcement of the World Cup coming to North America in 2026 presents the perfect framing for a discussion about the impact of sports-tech on massive global sporting events."
The session is on Thursday, June 14th, at 2:15 PM, in the Kerry Hotel in Shanghai.
