On March 7, 2023, Sports Innovation Lab launched the Women’s Sports Club, powered by Ally Financial. The Women’s Sports Club is dedicated to solving the challenges that women’s sports faces and creating a more equitable media investment landscape across men’s and women’s sports. Women's sports receive only a fraction of media coverage and advertising investment. Not because brands don't WANT to spend more, but because the pipelines are broken. There's a lack of good content, broadcast inventory is difficult to buy, and we're caught in a vicious circle of "not enough coverage means not enough reach and not enough reach means brands can't spend." However, fans of women’s sports spend more per fan on the brands who sponsor the sports they love, and we want to make this support exponentially stronger. 

The Women’s Sports Club will be at five of the industry’s most critical events to bring women’s sports into the investment conversation. First up in the Women’s Sports Club line-up is SXSW! 

Membership is invite only, but we're eager to have more of the right players join this effort. We are looking for:

  1. Brands that spend

  2. Media partners that sell

  3. Contributors and properties within the media and advertising ecosystem for women's sports
