How do bettors spend on professional sports and streaming? Where do these fans live? What else do these sports bettors buy? Where do women's sports lie in the larger sports betting market? Are these fans loyal to one sports book or do they sign up for multiple accounts? How has sports betting's relationship with the media changed fan's consumption of and engagement with sport?

Most Innovative Membership Briefing Recap

Our Soccer Thesis: The US is the last emerging market for soccer fandom.

During our most recent Most Innovative Membership Briefing, we discussed who US Soccer Fans are and how to tap into their respective communities.

US Soccer Fans | Key Insights

  1. The United States is the last emerging market for soccer in the world; it feels like soccer is “everywhere” - the data proves that’s just not the case yet.

  2. Soccer fandom in the United States is both national (USMNT, USWNT, Mexico), and local (MLS, USL, NWSL). Fans focus on the teams that are locally available.

  3. While the market is still emerging, early data shows the US soccer fan to be a higher value fan than other sports.

  4. We cannot expect US-Based soccer fans to behave similarly to other parts of the world. We need to better understand the different US-Based Soccer personas.
